Unlock Your Writing Potential at the Young Writers Conference! The Office of Admissions, in collaboration with the Division of Humanities at Brewton-Parker College, is thrilled to announce the return of the Young Writers Conference! This exciting event will take place on Friday, January 31, 2025, and we can't wait to welcome high school students from across Georgia.
Questions & Answers
The Young Writers Conference is a FREE event designed to inspire and nurture the next generation of writers. High school students will have the unique opportunity to develop their writing skills through engaging workshops led by our current college professors. These workshops will cover a variety of genres, including creative writing, journalism, and more.
- Expert-Led Workshops: Learn from experienced professors who are passionate about helping young writers grow.
- Scholarship Opportunities: Compete for scholarships to attend Brewton-Parker College.
- Get Published: The top submission will be published in the Spring 2025 edition of BPC's interdisciplinary journal, Oracle.
- Free Lunch: Enjoy a complimentary lunch provided for all students and chaperones.
We ask all students and families to report to the Miller (Building #22). There is a parking lot in front of the building for you to park while you check in. Check-in will begin at 8:30 AM.
